If you are interested in joining our club please Email the membership secretary, we will be happy to arrange a date to meet you at our flying field and show you around. For beginners, we are also happy to offer as much advice as needed to get you up and running.
The club fees for 2024 are as follows:
- Adult - £60 (10% discount if paid before Jan 31st)
- Junior - £34
Please note, for new members there is a one-off £50 joining fee.
Club membership requires you to be a member of the British Model Flying Association (BMFA). The BMFA, was founded in 1922 as the Society of Model Aeronautical Engineers (SMAE) and is delegated by the Royal Aero Club and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for the control, regulation and administration of all aspects of recreational and competitive model flying in the UK (British Model Flying Association is the trading name of the Society of Model Aeronautical Engineers).
The BMFA consists of over 35,000 members and over 800 affiliated clubs nationwide and is by far the largest air-sports body within the Royal Aero Club, the Association currently has a head office and administrative centre located in Buckminster on the Leicestershire/Lincolnshire border.
